There’s a (web)app for that…
tipTapp was my very first iPhone web-app. Since creating this, I’ve put together trackTapp (package tracking) & scoresTapp (sports scores). Although the release of the App Store has taken visitors away, many users still find the price (FREE!) & features very useful.
One nifty feature that I added as a personal choice was the ability to create a palindrome out of the total (“mirror” -> $92.29). This offers an excellent check whether the staff fixed the bill and quickly lets you remember that the transaction is restaurant related for services like Mint.com where you categorize all transactions.
